Overview: Falmouth’s greatest asset is its deep and sheltered harbour. Mariners throughout the centuries have long regarded Falmouth as the “First and Last Port” for ships crossing the Atlantic seeking shelter. The harbour’s significant history and stunning views make it a fascinating place to go paddleboarding. It is protected from prevailing SW winds, which means the water is smooth when the surrounding coast is choppy. Starting from the Greenbank Hotel Pontoon, you will visit the picturesque village of Flushing, the old Falmouth Harbour and the Maritime Museum. You will have the opportunity of paddling alongside huge boats that give you a totally new perspective of scale.  The wildlife is wonderful too, with seals and sea birds a common sight. Every Adventure starts with some basic paddling tuition however we recommend a paddleboard lesson (hyperlink to beginner lesson) before joining this adventure.

Overview: Starting from the quaint village of Durgan you will enjoy the serene, unspoilt estuary that stretches from Falmouth Bay up to the old port of Gweek. On route you will paddle past Polwigwidden Cove at the bottom of Trebah Gardens, plus the creeks of Port navas and if the tide is right the famous Frenchman’s Creek. The River Helford is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of special scientific interest. Ancient oak woodlands line its banks and paddling under the oak canopy there is a chance of encountering kingfisher’s fishing from overhanging branches. Dolphins, seals and oysters can be seen too if you have a keen eye. The Helford River is one of the most sheltered stretches of water anywhere in Cornwall and this makes it a magical venue for a Paddleboarding adventure. Every Adventure starts with some basic paddling tuition however we recommend a paddleboard lesson before joining this adventure.
