Archery and Bush Craft 2018-03-26T13:37:08+00:00

The Helford River provides the perfect environment for foraging and bush craft. The River can provide all the food, shelter and water needed to sustain yourself for days even weeks in the wilderness. Gylly Adventures River Bush Craft is a fun and interactive way to learn the practical skills you might need the next time your mobile phone runs out of power. There is no military style survival with us; our bush craft is a social and enjoyable activity, suitable for all.

Our full day (5hrs) River Bush Craft includes either kayaking or Standup paddle boarding. These craft are the perfect way to access areas of the river not easily reached by foot. You will forage mussels and oysters straight from the river fresher than any you can buy in the supermarket.  As well as exploring the rivers secret inlets you will learn news skills including: Safe knife and saw technique, basic wood carving for feathersticks and pot hangers, fire lighting methods, camp fire cooking, cordage and knots, shelter building and insulation.
